Planting

Santa Maria: October 15–30. Salinas and Watsonville: October 25 – November 15.

Chill

10–15 days of supplemental chill. Up to 25 days firms the fruit slightly at the peak, but heavily chilled plants get large and hard to manage late.

Fertility

500–600 lb of 18-8-13 pre-plant on sandy soils; less on heavier ground.

Disease

Resistant to Fusarium. Standard programs for powdery mildew, botrytis and mites.
